28 pages suits the bigger jobs — a comprehensive catalogue, a yearbook, or a detailed annual report — and this is close to the practical limit for saddle-stitching before a job is better suited to perfect binding.

Artwork: please supply a print-ready PDF as 28 single pages in reading order — cover first, then page 2, page 3 and so on. Do not supply printer spreads or impositioned files; we impose them for you. Pages should be sized to your chosen finished size plus 3mm bleed, CMYK, 300dpi minimum, with fonts outlined or embedded. Keep text and logos at least 5mm inside the trim, with a little extra clearance in the spine area on inner pages. Not sure your file is right? Send it over and we'll check it free of charge.

VAT. Prices shown exclude VAT. Booklets of this kind are zero-rated printed matter, so there is no VAT to add — a laminated cover does not change that, because the item as a whole is a booklet. Zero-rating does not apply to items designed to be written on, so where the finished job falls outside zero-rating we reserve the right to apply VAT at the standard rate, and if this is identified after despatch we will issue a VAT-only invoice for the difference.
