Saddle-Stitched Booklets

When a leaflet is not enough, a booklet gives you room to tell the whole story — a company brochure, a programme, a product guide, a menu or an order of service. We print these on our own kit here in Dorset, saddle-stitched with two wire staples on the spine so they open flat and sit tidily on a table or in a bag.

Artwork: please supply a print-ready PDF as single pages in reading order — cover first, then page 2, page 3 and so on. Do not supply printer spreads or impositioned files; we impose them for you. Pages should be A5 plus 3mm bleed, CMYK, 300dpi minimum, with fonts outlined or embedded. Keep text and logos at least 5mm inside the trim, and allow a little extra clearance in the spine area on inner pages. The total page count must be a multiple of four, counting the cover as pages 1 and 2. Not sure your file is right? Send it over and we will check it free of charge.

VAT. Prices shown exclude VAT. Booklets of this kind are zero-rated printed matter, so there is no VAT to add — a laminated cover does not change that, because the item as a whole is a booklet. Zero-rating does not apply to items designed to be written on, so where the finished job falls outside zero-rating we reserve the right to apply VAT at the standard rate, and if this is identified after despatch we will issue a VAT-only invoice for the difference.
