Artworking and Graphic Design
Sometimes the file is not the file. A logo that only exists as a low-resolution JPEG, a leaflet built in Word, a design that has to be redrawn before it will print properly — that is what our studio time is for. Buy design and artworking by the hour and we will take whatever you have and turn it into something that prints cleanly. Eighteen years of print behind every decision.
- £50 per hour ex VAT, charged in half-hour increments
- Original design and layout work — business cards, leaflets, banners, signage, full stationery sets
- Artwork recreation and redraws from low-resolution or flattened files
- Logo vectorising so your mark scales from a business card to a banner
- Print-ready file preparation — bleed, trim, colour conversion, fonts, imposition
- Amends to existing artwork and reworking files for a different size or format
- Free collection from our Winfrith unit, or tracked UK delivery on anything we print for you (small-format print free over £75)
Before you buy studio time: our prepress check is free on every print order. If your file just needs a look over before it goes to press, we will do that for nothing — you only pay for studio time when we are actually building or rebuilding artwork. What we need from you: whatever you have got — the original file if it still exists (InDesign, Illustrator, PDF), the fonts, any logos and images at the largest size you can find, plus a note of the finished size and how it will be used. The more of the original material you can dig out, the fewer hours it takes.
Artwork we produce for you: supplied as a print-ready PDF, CMYK, 300dpi, with bleed and fonts outlined or embedded. Editable source files can be released — just ask when you book.
Prices shown exclude VAT. Design and artworking services are standard-rated.
