Order of Service
An order of service needs to be right first time, and usually at short notice. We print them here in Dorset on our own kit, so we can turn a proof round quickly and keep the whole job in one pair of hands. Funerals, memorials, weddings and christenings — short runs from 25 copies, with no minimum quantity penalty.
- A5 finished size (148 x 210mm), portrait
- 4 page — a single A4 sheet, printed both sides and folded to A5
- 8 page — saddle-stitched with two wire staples on the spine, opens flat
- Full colour throughout on 170gsm silk art paper
- Quantities from 25 to 200 copies
- Printed, folded, stitched and trimmed in-house at our Dorset Innovation Park unit
- Free collection from our Winfrith unit, or tracked UK delivery (free on orders over £75)
- Free prepress check on every order
Artwork: please supply a print-ready PDF as single pages in reading order — front cover first, then page 2, page 3 and so on. Do not supply printer spreads or impositioned files; we impose them for you. Pages should be A5 plus 3mm bleed, CMYK, 300dpi minimum, with fonts outlined or embedded. Keep text and photographs at least 5mm inside the trim. For the 8 page version the total page count must be a multiple of four, counting the cover as pages 1 and 2. Photographs taken from a phone or lifted from social media are often too low in resolution to print well at A5 — send them over and we will tell you honestly before it goes to press.

VAT. Prices shown exclude VAT. Booklets of this kind are zero-rated printed matter, so there is no VAT to add — a laminated cover does not change that, because the item as a whole is a booklet. Zero-rating does not apply to items designed to be written on, so where the finished job falls outside zero-rating we reserve the right to apply VAT at the standard rate, and if this is identified after despatch we will issue a VAT-only invoice for the difference.
